Advertising is not allowed in #sourceinvite. Advertising will result in a temporary or permanent ban.

Non-permissible advertising included, but is not limited to the following:

a. Advertising a IRC channel

b. Advertising a Website or URL

c. Advertising a product or service

d. Advertising a game server or ventrilo server

The selling or trading of any products or services is not allowed. If a user is caught trading or selling any items, he/she will be permanently banned without removal.

This includes, but is not limited to the following:

a. Steam Accounts

i. This is against the Steam User Agreement and the GameSurge AUP. A violator will receive a permanent ban without removal.

b. World of Warcraft Accounts

i. This is against the Blizzard Terms of Service and the GameSurge AUP. A violator will receive a permanent ban without removal.

c. Any Game Account

Users are forbidden to message the channel with any hate speech

Hate speech includes, but is not limited to the following:

a. Racial Slurs

b. Ethnic Slurs

c. Speech which demeans a group of people

Any user who spams the channel will be temporarily or permanently banned.

Spam includes, but is not limited to:

a. Repetitive messages

b. Messages with a repetitive character

c. Timed messages sent too frequently

d. Any #sourceinvite op may ban you temporarily or permanently when your message is perceived too frequent.

e. Joining and/or Parting the channel to frequently

f. Any #sourceinvite op may ban you temporarily or permanently when your message is perceived too frequent.


g. Anyone found sending a /notice message to the channel will be permanently banned.

Users must respect all Source Network administrators. Users must also respect an administrator’s privacy and not message or email him/her unless asked to.

If a user messages an Administrator or the channel for a question that is answered on the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page, he/she may be banned temporarily.

All users are expected to read the topic and greeting of the channel.
